JERUSALEM (AFP) – US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was left shame-faced after President George W. Bush ordered her to abstain in a key UN vote on the Gaza war, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said on Monday.

“She was left shamed. A resolution that she prepared and arranged, and in the end she did not vote in favour,” Olmert said in a speech in the southern town of Ashkelon.

The UN Security Council passed a resolution last Thursday calling for an immediate ceasefire in the three-week-old conflict in the Gaza Strip and an Israeli withdrawal from Gaza where hundreds have been killed.

Fourteen of the council’s 15 members voted in favour of the resolution, which was later rejected by both Israel and Hamas.

The United States, Israel’s main ally, had initially been expected to voted in line with the other 14 but Rice later became the sole abstention.

“In the night between Thursday and Friday, when the secretary of state wanted to lead the vote on a ceasefire at the Security Council, we did not want her to vote in favour,” Olmert said.

“I said ‘get me President Bush on the phone’. They said he was in the middle of giving a speech in Philadelphia. I said I didn’t care. ‘I need to talk to him now’. He got off the podium and spoke to me.

“I told him the United States could not vote in favour. It cannot vote in favour of such a resolution. He immediately called the secretary of state and told her not to vote in favour.”

Bush has consistently placed the blame for the conflict on Hamas, telling reporters on Monday that while he wanted to see a “sustainable ceasefire” in Gaza, it was up to Hamas to choose to end its rocket fire on Israel.

But a US State Department official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, denied Olmert’s claim.

“Mr. Olmert is wrong,” the official said.

Even if everything had gone according to plan, “she would have abstained. That was the plan,” said the official. “The government of Israel does not make US policy.”

Jerusalem, January 11, 2008

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) on Sunday released the pictures of some of Hamas’ most wanted “terrorists” it said it has killed since the start of the Israeli onslaught in the Gaza Strip more two weeks ago.

An Israeli spokesman told foreign reporters in Jerusalem that the world community, especially Americans and Europeans, shouldn’t be deceived by the ostensibly young age of the killed terrorists.

“They may look young to you and me. But these people are terrorists at heart. Don’t look at their deceptively innocent faces, try to think of the demons inside each of them.”

The spokesman, Nachman Abramovic, said he was “absolutely certain” that these people would grow to be “evil terrorists if we allowed them to grow.”

“If you were in our shoes, would you allow them to grow to kill your children or finish them off right now”?

Asked if he was worried about possible criticisms from the international community, Abramovic said he was not worried a bit because “We are only defending ourselves.”

“Would you apologize for defending yourself if another person attacked you without any provocation,” the Israeli spokesman asked an American reporter.

Impressed by the answer, the American reporter said “You are right, Sir, absolutely.”

The IDF spokesman added that Israel didn’t really target civilians in Gaza and that the world should fall into trap of Hamas’s propaganda.

“I challenge serious news media to prove that we have killed a single innocent civilian in Gaza.

“Don’t tell me Aljazeera said this or CNN said that. You know all these people are anti-Semites and can’t be relied upon to tell the truth.”

He added that in any case, honest and moral people ought to differentiate between “true human beings” and “human animals.”

“We do kill human animals, and we do so unapologetically. Besides who in the West is in a position to lecture us on killing human animals. After all, whose hands are cleaned?”

Another Israeli spokesman, Tzipora Menache, said she was not immensely worried about negative ramifications that Operation Cast Lead might have on the way the Obama administration would view Israel.

“You know very well, and the stupid Americans know equally well, that we control their government, irrespective of who sits in the White House.”

“You see, I know it and you know it that no American president can be in a position to challenge us even if we do the unthinkable.”

Asked if he was not worried that her remarks would cause a public relations disaster, Menache said “what can they do to us. We control congress, we control the media, we control show biz, we control everything in America.

“In America you can criticize G-d, but you can’t criticize Israel.” (end)

What are they planning at the central banker meeting in Switerland? Ron Paul pledges to find out…

It’s hard to sleep at night as a citizen of the USA knowing our tax-dollars are being put to use so horrifically. U.S. weapons are being dropped on Gaza regularly, with the death toll nearing 1000. This is not Hamas they are killing, HALF of the deceased so far have been woman and children. Hamas is a defacto Government that began shooting “missiles” or “rockets” (propaganda at it’s worst, they were firing glorified bottle rockets) into Southern Israel. Care to know the Israeli death toll from the last 8 years of Hamas’ “rockets”? 23. The Iraq death toll has climbed to over 1.3 millions. When you understand that they do not hate us for our freedoms, but for our oppression of theirs, then you begin to see the big picture, and how we are only making things much, much worse in the middle east. I don’t know why I bother typing, because my man Ron Paul always embodies liberty and truth, so let’s see what he has to say regarding the Gaza situatuion…

He just drips logic doesn’t he? Ron Paul 2012 :).

The financial pundits have been crying for someone to instill confidence in the markets. So, here comes Paulson to the rescue…in a November 20th event in Simi Valley, California, Paulson was asked, “When do you expect our economy to finally hit bottom so we can begin the process of recovery?” His response was telling.

Henry Paulson:
“Huh-hah…yeah…that is, uh, ah, I appreciate the straight walk talk an-an-and I tend to be blunt but treasury secretaries can’t be that blunt so, so I, I, w-w-what I, w-what I will say to you is, is you get two things here which is a bit of a challenge in communicating t-to the American people *brief pause* because there’s the financial system and an-and the stability of the financial system and then there’s the economy. And, when we went to Congress to talk about the financial system an-and the crisis we-we were we were facing, the um, trying to communicate that and communicate to the American people, that we saw what had happened, what was happening in the financial system was gonna have a big impact on the economy…and we could see that, and, uh, an-and knew that, that, it was inevitably gonna have that impact but it woulda been much worse, and it would be much worse if, if we, if you know, if if if the financial system’s not stable. Now, i-i-in terms of your specific question, I don’t have an answer for you there, *crowd begins to laugh* other than, o-other than to say, that which is, w-w-which is where “Duke” started off, uh which is, you know, ou-our economy, you know, we’re a strong entrepreneurial nation, we’re a rich nation, we have the resources, we have the tools, uh, t-to deal with this, my focus is really on financial system eh-eh-eh stability, getting credit flowing again, because that’s gonna be the key. When, i-i-i-it as, as that happens, you know getting back to Brian’s question when the banks are lending, when credit is flowing, when the, the credit markets away from the banks are working, we will, w-we will have a stronger economy and and housing p-p-p you know housing prices uh, uh stabilize. And so I think it, i-it’s gonna w-we’re gonna have some challenging months here but w-w-we’re gonna work through this but I can’t give you a…a…uh…a-a date.”

*crowd laughs*

I thought the laughter a bit awkward, maybe it was just nervous tension, what he said was certainly not funny. Maybe they were laughing at him…

Yeah, real fucking funny. Unbelievable the shit that Fox pulls.

An e-mail to my mother, read it or don’t.

Well, I can’t stop being concerned, I’m pretty sure it’s because those who understand the state and direction of the nation feel all the burden. I know you think I’m off my rocker, and frankly, there are many times I feel like I’d rather be a blissful idiot than pragmatic. I don’t want to be a fear monger, I want to be a hope monger, but until media softens its grip on Joe 6-pack, the number of those “awake” is far to small. Be that as it may, here is an article encompassing my biggest immediate fear. It was written by a real estate agent who also is an investment adviser. I stumbled upon it looking up Florida real estate practices, because someone told me that 20% of the homes for sale in Florida currently are asking over $1 million(sucks for them!).

Part of the article talks about the leeches (boomers), and the generations (x and y) that directly follow them. Day after day it seems more likely that we will have to fix all the shit that our frivolous predecessors cared nothing about. And that reminded me of this video. Just be prepared, you may cry. It’s not really sad, but it made me furious. You want to see how individual and egocentric we have all become? How is it that YOUR generation let it get this bad?

Sorry if I seem angry, but I am. I live with zombies, made that way on purpose by people with little brains and no aspirations for society and community. How this is not blatantly obvious, I wish I knew. All I can do is soak up the better parts, be a positive gleaming example of the “Hero” generation, and hope for the best.

There isn’t much pretext needed here, she actually called it a “terrorist fist jab”. Guess that makes George W. Senior a terrorist, not to mention that hottie Anna K.

Guess now we know who the real terrorists are, thanks Fox!

EDIT:This picture has surfaced recently, thought it made this woman look about as dumb as possible.

...soon as you master the secret terrorist fist jab, Ill let you in on my plan to sneak The Communist Manifesto in the White House by wrapping it in The Wall Street Journal.
